I figured this would make it's way there before too long. The situation is poor, but you never get a brand new car no matter what happens, that's how insurance works. If someone stole your car out of your driveway (which I think 5th gen Camaros are the most popular stolen sports car) you would still get a check for only what the car is worth. It's just the nature of the beast. It sucks for the dealership though cause if they had bit the bullet and pressed charges they would be free and clear. Now they're going to lose a ton of business on this.

I read somewhere that they tried to press charges. But due to the laws there, they couldn't. Since the dealer had possession of the vehicle, and the man that wrecked it was an employee, no criminal charges could be filed. Putting the responsibility on the dealer. Of all of the negative press they are getting, they'd be better off writing this one off and making it right, in the eyes of the general public.

It's easy on the V6. Filter housing is right next to the battery positive terminal. And the oil plug is by the oil pan passenger side. Get a magnetic oil plug also, it's a good investment.
