Can't go for a drive without some idiot....

Cleaned my Camaro today and went for a drive with my son. On the way home a Dodge Challenger R/T pulled up beside me at the stoplight. As the light changed I eased into the throttle not trying to suggest anything. He stayed beside me for a few lights and then he came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to race with him. At that point he got on his car pretty hard and off he went.

Had my son not been in the car I would have showed him some serious Chevy muscle. It seems like every idiot I encounter wants to race my Camaro. Anyone else have this happen to them regularly?

Yeh, but with me it's usually a ricer with fart-can mufflers and a "wing" on the back that makes it look like it's gonna launch. I have to laugh, one punk in a junk honda that looked like it had been rebuilt from the last flood tried to "bait" me on the interstate. When I didn't bite, he slowed down to almost a stop to wait for me to catch up thn he took off again. I had my 18 YO son with me, we rolled the windows down so he could see us and laughed at him.

One light wouldn't have bothered me much, but he rode beside me for three lights before he took off.

thats everyday in los angeles. people try racing even though were in bumper-to-bumper traffic... i laugh when all these rice rockets pull up reving their lil rc car engines... i used to think f**k it and smoke them... but now cuz of rising gas prices, ive picked my battles worth fighting...

Wow. Have another bowl of Rude Flakes why doncha? One of the reasons I even allowed myself to buy a Camaro was getting the V6 with 312 hp was enough hp for me because if I got a 426 hp V8 I'd go out and get in trouble with it. Not so stupid or outlandish as you might think, grasshopper.

Just had this very thing happen to me today. Jacka$$ in a 70's GTO (nice red one BTW) two lane divided road, I was in the left lane and he passes me on the LEFT as we are going thru an intersection. He then proceeds to try and take my front bumper off because he ran out of road.... I'm normally a pretty reserved kind of guy but I had my twin girls in the back seat. The local police department got a courtesy call complete with license plate. I usually don't give crap if you are going to drive like a complete moron, but when you endanger the young-uns you are playin with fire.
