We did the sc install... Then later did cam.
Lining up the holes is tricky especially since when you torque on the crank bolt to seat up the dampner it twists a tad. But you can get it close. Pull the pulley off and when reinstalling, turn the motor to where the half moon holes on the crank are at 9 and 3 o'clock. Put it in high gear to keep it from turning. Then mark the sides of the dampner, at 9 and 3 also to where you can see them (if you leave the front of the car on) line them up just barely counterclockwise so that when you torque it down you are still close. You may have to wallow out the holes a hair but not much. This allows you to still have the 90 degree turn option down the road. Once you get the pins in, on most setups anyways , the crank bolt holds them in anyways. Good luck! |
