Lol, truth. I'm not sure if that attributed to the damage but I doubt it helped.

The JRE Smooth Idle Blower Cam and LPE GT9 although look Similar on paper are NOT the Same Cam Profile by any means.

Each of the 2 cams is Only available through the respected Vendors.

We discovered the Valve tip wear issues 2 years ago and worked with Comp Cams and other Private sources to see why this was happening.

RPM and Pushrods where the Problem, the pushrod design and high rpm were setting up a Harmonic over 7K that was causing valve bounce.

So this is ONLY an Issue in High RPM Applicatons above 7K, we typically set the rev limiter at 6800-7000 on Cam packages depending.

We have since corrected this problem with Specially designed pushrods that are standard in all JRE Cam Packages in the last 2 years.

Thank you for considering JRE Cam Package.

Any Questions Please don't hesitate.

Ted.

You can also search the LPE gt9 cam. They have the same specs.
How much was the cam new?

the LPEgt9 and JRE model could read the same but have different lobe profiles.

Don't forget fule injectors and a talented tuner can seriously change the sound of a car idling.

Fuel injectors should not affect the Idle quality unless they are some off brand that has no calibration data, or the Wrong Calibration data is used.

If it Idles rough the Tune is No Good and raw fuel is going out the tail pipe at Idle.

Cam should runs smooth with a Hint of lope.

Ted,

Thanks for the help on this and answering all my emails. After discussing I believe I am going to go with your smooth idle road race/endurance cam.

Have you had any issues at all? How many miles have you put on the cam?
Nope no issues at all. I've had this cam in for 14K miles so far (supercharged for 3K). Still gets great mileage on the highway with great driveability (very slight amount of bucking at very slow speed). My car is a DD during the warmer months and I'm very happy with it.
