i was told that the 2lt and the 2ss with the door panel lighting org had the lighting all the way around the dash, and it was taken off the front of the dash for safty reasons. but was also told the lighting may still be there, does anyone know anything about this? and if it is there can it be hooked up again? it would look so much nicer if the lighting went all the way across the dash and not just the doors.

The lights are only on the doors. There are several threads here that will show you how to add them to the dash.
