It was really easy to get power from the mirror. It's only on when the motor is running.

Yeah, I used that thread to make a harness I am planning to install. It's actually the console that houses the homelink buttons, map lights, and pass airbag light. You tap into the airbag light. I crimped wire ferrules onto the harness hoping they will go into the connector terminals. But now I want to see Ron's setup because I need to do my dashcam as well. Not sure if there's room above the headliner for the inline 12-5V transformer. gen5diy make a pigtail harness for $27 that you plug the air bag light harness connector into with a connector on the other end that plugs back into the console. The radar cable comes off that and you can also get it with a separate circuit for adding a dashcam.
Anyway, you're right Ron, lights were a breeze. Did the tails in 45 minutes and only lost about a gallon of blood, lol. Was going to do the 3rd brake light but decided to get drunk instead. So I plan to do that this evening.

Ouch! I believe it starts at 8:00. Would that be too late to meet? vinman is planning to come up and that's haul from Elmira to get there at 7:30. He would have to roll out the crib at midnight-thirty, lol.

Phew, got in under the wire. GM raised the price on these from $60 to $115.

Just plain B S people really like something at a reasnoble price. They start selling like mad and the vendor says what the hell. Lets almost double the price and make some real money.
