Bore gauge is perfect. Didn't know what u had so went with LCD. That is going to be one heck of an engine!

Sorry it happened, but looking forward to the outcome...

Again, thanks Don. I'm looking forward to the end result myself. Like I have said before, the timing really sucks, but now that I'm in it....may as well do it right! I am so grateful for ttshovel and his help. I have always wanted to get my hands inside of an LS3, thanks to him, I get to do just that. Looking forward to having a solid motor, without wondering how long it will last.

Well, the parts have been in for a while, we have been waiting for the machine shop to finish all the machine work. Took about three weeks longer than expected. Apparently tax time slammed his shop. As it stands now, everything is done, and we pick up the block, and crank Monday. Thats the day we start the assembly of the engine. Pics and progress updates to come next week! Can't wait to get the car back on the road!

Sweet! What cam did you end up going with?

That thing will sound so mean! Hell it sounds like a beast now....Can't wait to hear it once you get your cam in.

I'll be in touch with you sometime in the near future. I am considering shipping the car back to Ohio from Florida, instead of flying down and picking it up. Wanted to talk to you and see if you can help arrange something for me.

Engine Assembly Progress

Well we finally got started on putting things together. ttshovel has helped me so much with this project, I don't know what I would do without him. So far he has almost all of pistons in. The machine shop broke my crank gear, so we had to order a new one. That kind of put a hold on getting things rolling any further. We will finish what we can do, and wait for the new part. Then its back to it.

Here is some eye porn for all you gear heads!

9.2:1 is a huge mistake IMO.

I would never go below 10:1, especially on a setup like this.

That is interesting. LSX B15 is 9.0 to 1. Would you elaborate? I'm interested in knowing why...

Thanks!
