Stupid on Chevrolets part to release the Z/28 as the way we know it including the price. I'm happy to see prices go down. I still wouldn't buy one.

Dealership around my area has one listed for 83k. I agree that the no A/C in Florida is what's most likely driving the price down on this one, but if I had the cash I'd buy it at that price. People further north that can live without A/C should be all over this.

Wow...I'd trade in my 1LE for a Z/28 if the prices get any lower!

At that price and the fact that it's probably rarer without A/C it might be a good idea to buy it and store it for 20 years. It's definitely collectible, only question is if anyone would have the willpower not to drive it.

I can hear you on that.
If you are in to collecting there are allot of better older cars for less that will go up way sooner then it ever will and I think 20 years you still will be way off on when it would give you a return on your investment.

Just as collectible as a Z06 Corvette. You might have to wait a very long time. At the very least, it should hold it's value better than lesser Camaros.

Why settle for no a/c. I'm sure within 3-6 months there will be with a/c for less than that.

I'm thinking the Z/28 isn't going to be as bare bones if there is a 6th gen version. And I can't see GM producing too many more given that they aren't exactly flying off the showroom floors. If I had the cash to do it I'd take the bet that this car is going to become highly collectible similar to the GNX and Syclone. In the long run cars are never great investments but occasionally one surprises you. No one can ever know for sure which is why I'd only do it if I had $65k lying around and felt like taking a gamble. |
