Buy some 3M matte black auto vinyl from eBay. Get a sharp exacto knife and a hair blow dryer. Very easy to do.

Another vote for vinyl... fast, easy cheap, and easily recovered from if you don't like it or change your mind.

OP - I have some extra black matte vinyl. PM me your address and I send you two squares to cover the front and back bow tie. Heck, I'll even throw in an Exacto blade (just the blade).

I bought powder coated black billet off ebay. I bought mine cheap 20.00 and painted over the chrome to match my car. It should last 20 years vs a sticker.

That's incredibly classy. Where do you buy yours from as I've been looking locally and nobody offers matte. Crazy to buy an entire roll for two now ties. Although, I've never tried it and my SS is brand new...maybe I should invest in an entire roll ass I've been known to make mistakes...many mistakes...over and over again...ugh!!!

Did the same thing added the vinyl for awhile then said why am I putting cheap stickers on a amazing car . Finally broke down and drilled out the Gold section of the Bow Ties and put in the real Billet parts powder coated black parts . Wow so much more real and looks are 100% better . Or least buy some painted ones . Do cheap out the 1st time as I tried that and redid it down the road. Spend the money and do it right the 1st time .. JM2cents
