Found cause of my EPS issue... I think
After chasing this gremlin for what it seems like forever, I think I may have found the reason my EPS is going on. I changed the battery 30 days ago, installed 3 additional grounds, relocated EPS ground. After all this, it still pops up, 1-2x when I drive it.
My voltage will drop down to 12.5-12.7 when driving. Goes up to 13.x but when it does drop down, that's when the EPS goes out. Tested this theory again, and same thing. Now, could this be an issue with the alternator, or some sort of short in the wiring system? Alternator swap?

The ECU commands the voltage and will vary in different situations.
Not sure how the Camaro will respond in this scenario, but you can unplug the 2 wire plug on the alternator and it should charge at a constant of 13.5-13.8 volts. This will cause a battery fault but if the voltage stays steady, that rules out the alternator being faulty.

You need to scan for codes in the power steering control module, A code reader will not do you'll need a good scanner IE Snap On, Autel etc.....

Have you been able to pull any chassis or body codes for the EPS? Or codes directly from it if it generates them?
I don't think it is an alternator problem. If the voltage was lower than commanded, i think you will get a code for that. This doesn't mean that you don't have an additional voltage drop within or to the EPS that doesn't like the system voltage being on the lower side. |

Update:
No bueno... kept the car on a tender, fired it up, and service power steering is still on. Might have to take it to a dealership, or if I can find a decently priced reader, I can try annd clear the code. Unfortunately 1 of the performance shops I bring it to, can't fix it.

Had 2 readers available, no codes showing up. Steering wheel is dead.
