I emailed Diamond about LFX pistons. They said they had the stock piston scan on file and quoted me $1100 for a set of 6 boost ready pistons (including rings and wrist pin). Haven't delved deeper, not until I buy a second block from LKQ and take it to a machine shop for cleanup and measurements.

I bet we could get a group buy going......however, everyone would need to have the same compression

At the risk of being labeled a scavenger; I would also like to get in on a proposed group buy.

Right on. Never did like labels, anyway... I do like horsepower, though.

Sooo... maybe if we page the man himself, he might consider leading this endeavor? I'd imagine he's always got a lot on his plate, so lets ask reeeeal nice.
PAGING MR @Jason@JacFab

Considering we're all going boosted, whats the general consensus on compression ratio?

It really depends on your build and what you plan on doing. I believe Trent dropped his compression ratio to 10.5:1 and Gretchens built block has a compression ratio of 10:1.

I am also already boosted lol just on stock bottom end

I think Trent is the one I was thinking of when I emailed Diamond. I'll have to see if they have those specific designs and order a set. Now, when ordering pistons, any tribal knowledge to consider?

I contacted Diamond and used Trent as a reference for pistons (since they had made his in the past), and they acted like they couldn't find the information and that I would need to ask him. They weren't too helpful

Did you give them the part number that they assigned to my piston? I know of at least one guy that ordered and received my pistons. I'm sure they have no problem just cranking out exact copies of mine since they're in their system. If people are wanting different compression or different valve reliefs then they might not want to do that off trying to tweak mine. Might just have to send them samples and treat it like another custom job.

Here's the part number of my 10.5:1 LFX pistons.
