adding blueprint motor

I'm thinking about adding a blueprint motor. Found out that I've got a broken piston #7. I was going to just forge the bottom end but adding the 418 CI block might be less a hassle. Thoughts anyone. Thanks in advance.

I'm going to add the 427 motor and plan on porting my current head. Any insight on the heads.

The 427 will come with heads typically. If your old heads are still good maybe sell them cheap so you get a few bucks for the new setup. You should have only 2 choices if you get a 427 blueprint or factory direct. You can choose not to have the front drive systems assemblies included (water pump, pulleys, alternator etc.) to save some money. Or you can choose to include the front assemblies etc. If your just swapping from 376 to a 427, I believe your front engine drive assemblies from the 376 should be usable on the 427, but I’m not 100% certain....also you should check into if you’ll need a new ECU/ computer controller and that stuff so you can simply swap and fire it up. They may have the computer stuff as part of the engine package option. I don’t think you’ll be able to use your old ECU/ computer stuff on any other motor since it’s vin dedicated, but you’ll have to double check that too because I’m not 100% certain. I’d call the vendors and discuss what you have and what you wanna do and they will most likely set you up with exactly what you need to make the swap painless.
