Strange question: Interior safe cell phone mount?

I've been using cell phone mounts in cars for years. I use my cell phone as my NAV in almost all my vehicles. The issue I'm having here is that there really isn't a lot of room inside the Camaro that gives me a good place to put it. I experimented with a suction cup mount I have and although that worked, to be reachable, it took up too much windshield real estate and was far away from the charger.

I really don't want to use the vent or other style mounts that hang on the interior because I've had them scratch up the interior where they hung...

I tried an old mount I had that was essentially a bendable arm that sticks directly into the charger, and that was at best awkward.

Anyhow, just curious if you all have any recommendations for cell phone mounts for the ZL1 that don't muss up the interior any.

Thanks

Thanks!

You have any issue with them scratching or deforming the fins? I ask because I had a 2007 Charger SRT8 that I used THAT kind of mount, and it actually bend the vent fins. Not a huge deal, I guess, just wondering if there was something else out there.

No problems so far. Mount has spring loaded clips that attach to 2 fins

I have the proclip one that mounts to the center console, near the accessory power outlet. I have an iPhone catching cable tucked under the edge of the console, that connects into the USB socket inside the console box. I love it

I use this when I autocross or do HPDE: http://www.amazon.com/Ram-Mount-Suct.../dp/B0066BWMNU

I have it suctioned mounted behind the mirror, then use the arm to locate the holder just below the rearview mirror.
