the best way to bleed air from the cooling system?

I'm going to do the heater hose relocation but I'm not really sure how to bleed air from the system when I'm done.

Why is everyone doing a heater hose relocation? What's to gain with this mod?

the stock hoses run over the intake. by relocating the heater hoses it removes the "heat bleed" from the heater hoses into the intake.

it helps reduce intake temps resulting in better performance. im doing the heater hose relocation this weekend actually.
No Camaro right now. But I'll be back in one in a few years.

Well my coolant bottle is bone dry and looks to have been for sometime.

The coolant is just above the cooling fin when looking into radiator through cap.

How can a heater core go bad in 7 years? I thought I might have smelled coolant when I turned the heater on for the first time in forever.

If you remove the end of top hose going to the radiator and fill it there you will have a much easier time getting the air out. You can squeeze the lower hose after it runs for a while to push air from there as well. Also make sure the coolant reservoir is at the proper level, it holds quite a bit.

Jack the front end of the car up and use that. Let it run for 10-15 minutes.
