Cam overlap for Supercharger

Good afternoon,

I have a cam on hand, and was curious if the 10-11 degrees of overlap would yield poor results when time comes to install a pro charger or magnuson heartbeat blower on my 2014 camaro ss ls3.

The cam is BTR stage 3 N/A. Is this going to hurt my gains?

The specs are: 229/244 .615"/.595" 113+4

I know 3-5 degrees of overlap are desired but rather ask.m as my other option is the TSP stage 3 supercharger cam but rather save the money since I already have the other.

Thank you all.

I had an NA cam in my first 5th gen a while back with a Maggie... it made plenty of power in comparison, but I will say I enjoy having a true Boost cam.

So if you have the balancer off already, $400 is a small price to pay to have a properly spec'd cam..... if the front isn't coming apart, just send it and see if you like it, I think it will be fine as well.

I don't think the OP even has the cam installed yet by the sound of the first post, I agree if you're gonna pull everything apart, might as well do a dedicated cam and springs.

That cam will make plenty of power. You can optimize a bit depending on PD or Centri....

Both blowers like different valve timing events. That being said that cam will work on both...

Watch this:
