I emailed them last week with a question regarding my vents, no reply here as well!

Guys....I apologize for not being on the forum lately. If you ever need to reach me, my direct e-mail is: steve@hinesperformance.com. I've hired a youngster to help with online support, his name is Brandon and can be reached here on the forum at Brandon@HPE or brandon@hinesperformance.com. Of course, you can always call us at 800-756-7107.

As for the question of this thread, water entering the engine compartment via the vents is not an issue. If you drive in the rain, water enters through the radiator and undercarriage already.

Also, the splash pans do a good job of deflecting water that may enter through the vents.

I took the hex part out of mine, so you could reach your hand in and touch the top of the motor, I havent had any issues at all. In the winter i have clear acrylic covers i put in to keep the snow out. i have pics somewhere, lemme look.

Had mine since the beginning of the year. I daily drive mine many many miles and lots of rain and no issues at all. I have the trays in mine too. Just measure 10 times before drilling if u do it yourself. The man video is really spot on.
