I Can ship you the 1/16Npt-3/16 hose fitting. no charge
all you would have to do is buy a 1/2 to 1/2 fitting from home depot and drill and tap a 1/16 thread in the middle.

PM me if your interested

The fitting will be under oil when the pan is full. I had the same problem when i installed my kit. My solution was going to the front of the oil pan directly under the crank pulley. I had to use a 45* fitting to clear the pulley ( still a tight fit) but it works great, havent had any oil drain issues at all.
I will try to find my post from a few years back on here and tag it so you can see.

I believe my tap was like 4 or 4.5 inches from the bottom of the pan. Yours def seems a little low. The thing is when the car is running the oil pan won't be as full because of all the circulating oil. I would try it and see if the turbo smokes at idle

yah that what i figured i would do. the directions say 2.5" from the bottom of the pan and this is 2" from the bottom...it was definitely under the oil level though sitting cold, be that oil poured out and the car was jacked up from the front too.. i guess worst case i can get a 3/8 npt plug, seal it up.. and try again.. i saw a picture on an ls1 where someone drained to the timing chain cover.. dont know if that would be feasible.. how are you guys getting access to the pan to drill are you pulling the pan?

What method are you using to tap the pan? Drill bit with grease or punch and tap? I will be doing this next month for a Turbonetics too and this would be helpful. Thanks.

I used a 90* drill bit adaptor from harbor freight

Ok yah I had a 90 deg angled drill but it was way bigger than needed and ended up getting in its own way as it was..

I'll try picking up one of those .. there is a harbor freight 20 min from my house . I'm going to try and run it like as is to see what happens..unless there is some reason I shouldnt? Besides wasting new oil when I have to drain and move the fitting anyways .. I have a good feeling I'll be plugging and re tapping elsewhere
