I paid almost $800 to have the dealer paint them! I heard people paying around $600 from the dealer...I also had, another, dealer install them.

Dealer can do it if they have a paint shop but even if they don't, they normally have a trusted shop that does paint and body for them. If you are concerned about the price, get an estimate from the dealer and get another from a reputable paint shop and choose. If you are having the dealer install the GFX kit, you might as well have the painting done by them as well so if they chip/damage the paint during install, it's on them and you don't have to run around between 2 places.
It didn't cost me a dime to get mine painted body color. Mine was the 1st car ordered with a GFX by the dealer so the dealer didn't know too much about the GFX so I got them to agree I will get the GFX if they made sure it was painted. Deal!

lucky you lol, yea it does seem logical to have the ppl installing it to paint it, but i think i'm gonna wait a while, i still got a while till i get her, and wen i do i'm gonna enjoy her the way she is for as long as i can

If they install the GFX unpainted, I hear it's much more difficult to paint them afterward.

Add another zero to that $600 for a paint job. You might get a crappy job from Maaco for $600, but a decent entire paint job will cost $5,000, $6,000 or more.

Earl Scheib! I drive by a Earl Scheib shop often and I always see their sign for "$299 for complete paint job on selected colors". and there is always at least 1 freshly painted car parked in front. You get what you pay for.

My dealer installed them and refused to paint them

I had to take it to a shop to do it.

They coordinate well with your car! If I went with the Black & CGM stripes, I was going to leave them as well. However, I really liked the IOM, so got them painted. My original dealer did NOT want to install them since they never had. I took them to another, local, dealer that had already installed some. Had me sign a waiver from GM saying they were NOT responsible for paint issues while installing or afterwards. I think they look great in all black!
