I have the spohn lca. Actually bought the 17 inch drag suspension kit from jdp motorsports. I have the weld s71 on my car and they still needed to grind a little for clearance issues. It is still a tight fit due to brake calipers, but working great.

Why the 17x11 vs 10? I went with 17x10 and can’t imagine I’d ever need a 11” wide wheel. I’ve ran M&H 325 wide and a smaller MT. Most tracks around here limit a lot of street classes to 275 max

I was looking at upgrading those I haven’t found a clear understanding of why I would need them?

Been looking around for tires for my drag star 18x10.5’s and I’m starting to think I should have went 17’s cause that’s all I find when search the site for info.

They allow for more adjustability of camber so that you can get closer to zero. That way, when you launch and the car squats, you'll get the most contact patch with the tires to the ground. Justice pete has done some good write ups on alignment specs for drag racing, and without the bolts, or any kind of adjustability, its hard to get much lower than -.4 negative camber

I just ordered some 17in race Stars for the rear with 305/45-17 MTs. But I wanted more sidewall. Do you track your car? I only drag race

Will a normal alignment shop be able to utilize the adjustability?

That I don't know. I know that Firestone couldn't get it any less than -.4 for mine, but they do lifetime alignments, so I knew that I could just bring it back to them. TC at BMR said that with the bolts, it would easily allow -.2/-.1 camber. I should have them installed within the next week or so and aligned, so I will let ya know for sure, since we have essentially the same rear suspension now

Please and thank you I’ll be doing the install next week I’ll probably get them before then and call around town about the alignment

car is fat. even with the 3.91 gears and an M10, any bit of extra help i can get to help the engine spin faster helps. the 26" tires ares a huge difference. the 335 tires have 13.2" of contact surface. i hope i can launch the car at around 4K or a little higher

its gonna be primarily a drag strip car that i drive and cruise around in on the weekends.

i got a good deal on a bone stock 2006 vortecmax silvy in december so the camaro is no longer my daily driver.

thats why i dont really care about low rpm torque anymore. i need my pig to perform in the 4500-7500 range. I need to choose a manifold caredully. its going in for suspension upgrades on thursday and my next move is ZL1 fp, FIC 850 injectors and a new manifold
