Anyone use Mechanix gloves as gloves to protect their suede steering wheel?

In an effort to prolong my suede steering wheels life I am thinking about a dedicated clean pair for driving.

Does anyone else use Mechanix gloves as driving gloves?

Judging from the tone of your post I am thinking that you already do that but hey I dont blame you one bit. You spent alot of money on that Camaro and obviously worked your ass for it so I say keep doing it and dont worry about what others may think!...In fact I think thats a good idea you have there.

Nope. Enjoy the suede. If it wears out, buy another. Who wants to have sweaty hands all the time? You paid good money for that suede. Enjoy it.

The suede is there so that you won't need to wear gloves.

It's not real suede, just wipe it down with a damp cloth and don't worry about gloves.

I thought the manual states that gloves will increase the wear on the steering wheel and shifter. I could be wrong though.

Can someone explain what's wrong with using your bare hands to drive?
