Z/28 grille for 1le

So I am looking to slowly make my 1le look like a z/28 (minus the flat hood) I plan on doing most of body ad ons in carbon fiber from G5 carbon. I really want to switch out my grille to the z/28 grille and make or buy a flowtie. So I found the grille on GMparts direct saying that this is a OEM grille for the z/28. I'm aware of my chrome strips having to be removed but I'm wondering if it will snap into my SS 1le with no issues

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/chevrol...e=upper-grille

Has one ordered this or have another suggestion ?

Yes but the chrome strip cuts before the headlights so you have to get rid of that or paint it black because it will look a little off having two chrome strip over the headlights

I have a Z/28 grille in mine. It snaps right in.

Do you have a pic of your 1le with the Z28 grill?

This is how mine looks like. The grille is usually hardly visible:

The fenders came unpainted, so I left it to a body-shop to install it. They screwed it up, and I had to re-source the adhesive to do it again. The adhesive is very good, and bonds well, but requires pressure on the surface to work. The shop did not care much, and it failed the first time. Just make sure you apply pressure on the adhesive!

so they literally are just painted and adhesive to hold them on? there are no screws holding them in?

There are screws, 4(?) on each fender, but only on the bumper sides so you can unbolt and remove the bumper without having to remove the fender flares.
