Factory MTX Audio Amp/Sub installation...

If you haven't seen I did post the instructions scans on page three, that might help.

It's the scan of 3 & 4 that discusses the differences for non-BA systems.

Can someone tell me if I need the wiring harness for a BA system? I'm purchasing a used sub and the seller says my car should already have the connection and I just plug it in....but the instructions that are posted in this post say a harness is required. Can someone please tell me what is required? Thanks!

Honestly, I'd not buy it without ALL the wire loom and fixing kit.

has anyone that's installed this kit had a problem with corrosion at the body ground point it tells you to ground it at? i've had intermittent battery crank/start issue in the past week, and the dealer is telling me it's where I grounded it and it caused corrosion and the body harness to have a bad connection.

Sounds like the dealership is fishing to get out of warranty work and I would find a new dealership to do business with.

"at the body ground point" - provide pictures

You are either grounded to metal or not, but a "faulty" ground doesn't just start oxidizing on it's own or "go bad" to the point it's going to cause feedback and destroy the starter.
