Yes, you can, although, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless, you like alternator whine coming out your speakers! You're better off finding another place to ground your amp, just remember to remove all paint around your grounding locations.

i have alt whine regardless if i ground to seat bolt or to batt or stud. i can get rid of it and nothing is ran within a foot of the power n ground wire. i hate it. i ran straight to batt and it went away some. but not fully.

There is no single "fix" to eliminate engine noise, only red flags. Like, failing to purchase quality Power cables and shielded RCA wires. That junk is $0.10/foot for a reason. If you don't know how to build your own using KnuKonceptz, then you need to spend $65+ on a quality amp kit.

I use copper lugs, knukonceptz wire ofc, dual shielded rcas and a DSP. Power run sepereate and no frays no nothing.

Great start! Unfortunately it appears you are into level three of diagnostics, which can be a PITA.

What amplifiers and DSP are you using?
Where have you mounted the amps and DSP in relation to the primary 0 gauge artery for the vehicle?

In addition to these questions, how high are your gains set on your amps. If they are way up you could be getting whine that if the gains were set correctly, would be inaudible.
