Screwing around with a small new project. Sometime ago one of the buttons on my key fob broke so I used that one for the recall, I was hoping they'd give me a new fob but I was wrong, again. lol. So anyhow, one of the buttons on my spare is starting to let go so I decided to end my phobia over it and make a new fob. Below is a picture of the prototype, I am working on incorporating the key while keeping it as thin as possible. The buttons are different heights as I'm trying to determine which one will work best without them activating while in your pocket like the stock ones do.

As usual necessity dictated the latest projects to my car. Had a few broken coil springs so upgraded to Megan coilovers. While I was in the area working I went with solid subframe bushings, doing offset differential bushings and 391's soon. Also went with Nitto N555r's on 18 x 11 wheels. The upper bushings on the front struts is still ugly so I made a new set of strut covers that work with the Megan Coilovers. Here's a few quick pictures.

I did try the offset bushings but took them out. I have been running solid differential bushings, they have been great. I didn't notice any added noise or vibration, when I added the Derlin offset bushings the noise transfer was more than I was willing to deal with. I'm waiting to see how the poly version works out.

Thanks, others may have a different opinion. lol

Haven't been in here for a while so I might as well add a picture of where I'm at especially where riding season is coming to an end, my work load lightens up so I can play with my car and some new products I'm working on.

Added a VFN Copo hood I picked up from Ohio Speed. Also, for those who noticed the rats nest of wiring to my coil packs finished the wiring harness on the coil packs that bring them from the rear to get them off the manifold and somewhat hidden. I'm working on the harness to the injectors now but haven't taken any pictures yet. Also I got rear ended by a pizza delivery kid not paying attention so when I replace my rear bumper I have a few things in mind. I'll update as I progress but for now, here's the hood.

Thanks, started ordering parts for a 416 stroker. unfortunately I had surgery on my shoulder yesterday so it's on hold until I heal enough to pull the motor.

Just a quick update, getting ready to pull the motor. Everything I could remove one handedly has been done, one of my buddies offered the use of a bay and he will tackle the stuff from below. If the block is good I'm doing the 416. if it's bad, 427. Should know by next week.

I stumbled upon your thread from reading up on a bumper mailbox vent mod, and omg I loved it. a lot of really cool concepts on here too. Plus I'm nowhere near as much of a fabricator as you, but I always loved welding. I desperately need to get a MIG setup for the house, haven't welded since I was in the Marines.
