MTI Racing: What's Going on Today @ Motorsports Technology Inc

Before I get into what's going on I wanted to post our history.
Quote:
OUR STAFF AND HISTORY:

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA founded in 1993, MTI Racing has a tremendous personal commitment to being involved with our customers and their products. Each member of our staff contributes with backgrounds in engineering, fabrication, professional racing, and expert troubleshooting. You can count on MTI Racing to develop products for your vehicle that are reliable and powerful.

Led by former World Challenge racer Reese Cox, MTI Racing grew during the pinnacle of rapidly advancing race technology. Reese's involvement in the Corvette Challenge Series paved the way to becoming team manager for Tommy Morrison Racing, preparing the team's ZR-1 Corvettes for the 24 HRS Of Daytona from 1991 to 1994. While acting as crew chief and engineer in the IMSA Invitational GT Series, Reese and crew clinched a SCCA GT-1 National Championship with GM engineer/pro driver John Heinricy. Reese's attention to detail soon opened doors to work with a number of notable pro road racing teams and pro drivers such as Johnny Rutherford, Tommy Kendall, Andy Pilgrim, and Boris Said.

In '96 and '97 Reese became the Southeast SCCA American Sedan Champion with his MTI Racing prepared Z28 Camaro. The next year, Reese started competing on the pro level driving in the SCCA World Challenge Series earning Rookie of the Year and placing 6th overall in the points of that series. In 1999 Reese became part of the C5-R factory development team, establishing the new Zo6-C5 Corvette package. His team was the first to campaign the C5 race car in the Speedvision World Challenge Series, and also race in the Motorola Cup that same year.

When you add 800hp to a vehicle you’re going to find some weak links. Mikes Transmission has had 4 years on it and some very high speed events. His 5th gear gave its two weeks and checked out early. Good thing he had the MTI track support program.
We brought and extra Trans for just such an occasion. MTI worked hard and replaced the Trans over night. Mike was able to run the whole 2nd day without a hitch.

congratulations to Matt and Joe!!

Joe(left) Matt(right) took home a 1-2 victory this weekend in the V1 Classic Outlaw class. Good Job guys! We are proud of you!!

Joe (1971 Camaro) and Matt (1970 Datsun) traded the lead threw-out the whole race.

As the race went on Joe over powered a corner and that allowed Matt edge out a lead, while they battled they left the field behind...

Matt Piloted his MTI powered 427ci 240z to victory.

Our Silverado runs the original 5.3 liter (now a 383 stroker) with a D1SC ProCharger making 8lb of boost (right now) and almost 650 rwhp!!! Thanks again!!!!

We had a beautiful ZR1 come in for minor upgrades..

Headers where installed before coming in, but it was un-tuned.
We ported the Snout and installed a smaller pulley.

100hp with very little modifications.
