Extension doesn't seem to be available for the 2010+ Camaro.

I reached out and asked and they said they do not have any intentions of doing an extension for our years due to the way the trans are set up in our cars

Well that sucks! Wonder why the trans makes a difference as the fitting is in the bell housing?

Not sure either, but it must be enough to make it not work. I'm still tempted to order it and see if I can make it work when I get ready to do this mod.

Yes ... One of the other things I can remember about the engineers mentioned in many threads, who designed our cars to the smallest detail.

Fortunately, there are people with common sense who can solve these engineering delicacies.
Which I applaud

Still can’t understand why Tick says the trans makes a difference? The stock bleeder IS a fitting extension, so why couldn’t they make one like it (as they’ve made for other trans) seeing that THEY ALREADY MAKE a braided cable with a fitting that fits the slave! So the reason can’t be an engineering one. I think the real reason is Tick just doesn’t want to go thru the effort/cost to make an extension and have to retro fit their braided cables for it.

So I unless I’m missing something I’m calling out Ticks reason for not making the fitting extension for our cars as

Still can’t understand why Tick says the trans makes a difference? The stock bleeder IS a fitting extension, so why couldn’t they make one like it (as they’ve made for other trans) seeing that THEY ALREADY MAKE a braided cable with a fitting that fits the master cylinder! So the reason can’t be an engineering one. I think the real reason is Tick just doesn’t want to go thru the effort/cost to make an extension and have to retro fit their braided cables for it.

So I guess I’m calling out Ticks reason for not making the fitting extension for our cars as
It wouldn't even have to be extended.
It would be enough to rotate the cylinder and create other holes in the bellhousing.

Simply put the bleeder made more accessible.
And not create it at the most stupid point on the transmission - under the chassis .
Especially when it's a busy place for car maintenance.

So why couldn’t you drill a small/medium hole for it in the bellhousing??

So I’m not understanding what George did to make it work.

I did the same thing as the others. I used a remote Tick bleeder.
I'm just saying it's just foolish invented.

Yep! They contacted me back as well when I asked if they sold one. their answer? "no".

OK, well I'll put the line in the hard way eventually. It might wait until I do the clutch, maybe not.

On another note, I think some on the thread were thinking they didn't offer a bleeded. They do!, they don't offer the extension from the slave to the bleeder hose that help with installation.

Don't overthink it fellas, you can do it without tearing everything apart or needing the extension.

This forum is awesome. Just did this. Without the suggestions from this thread it would have been torture! It actually took me longer to get the stock bleeder out ( socket wasn’t deep enough but an offset box wrench did the trick). An inspection camera is the key. It literally took me five minutes to get the tick bleeder threaded and tightened. Used the crow’s foot and the 1/4” extension setup all taped together. I added a string to that just in case that fell in - just like the stock bleeder. No problems. Thanks for all the great suggestions.
You guys/gals rock!

Thanks to OP h018871 and all the others that contributed to this thread. I installed and bled my clutch from the engine bay! The remote camera is almost a requirement but a mirror works too and is much less expensive. However, the camera can be used in a lot of other situations not just on this mod. You’ll be amazed at what you can use it for. Amazon has some 30 dollar ones that are 1080p.

When you disconnect the clutch line, it will leak (from the reservoir side) alot and it’s very slippery. I was wearing latex gloves. Be ready with something to cap it with. Get several sizes of rubber vacuum caps from the auto store or Lowes. I’ll try and update this post later with the size I used. I thought due to leaving the reservoir cap on, there would be a vacuum to hold most of the brake fluid in. Boy was I wrong. Eye protection is a must.
