You are just lucky

Pretty sad when you're below Land Rover.

My buddy started out with a 2010 V6 Challenger, traded it in for a 2012 RT with 5.7 Hemi , then from there went to the manual 2013 SRT8 6.2 liter ...He had repeated problems with the clutch and transmission and Dodge ended up doing a buy back on it, because they had too...
He is a big Mopar fan and loves the new HellCat but he says he's not sure he can go back to the Challenger after all the aggravation he has been through..
Me being buddies with him and seeing first hand all the bull shit he went through, it's pretty safe to say I would never buy a Challenger, whether it be a hellcat or anything else from hell..
At least that's how I feel about it at this point...

You also have to go through ISG for the buyback which is a third party company that pretty much gets paid to drag ass. When they bought back my 300 srt8 (a myriad of issues that were "unsolvable") I had the same feelings as your buddy. I saw the hellcat coming out and just thought to myself "do i want to ever go through this again". Yes other companies produce lemon cars but the way Chrysler handled it was why it was so terrible. The hellcat is bitchin but I would not deal with that again.

People talk about quality issues of dodge.

I think many are forgetting the dreaded second gear grind that the 2010 ss manuals were having under heavy acceleration. Some people are still suffering from this after getting it "fixed" under warranty. And how about the issue I experience from time to time with my 2010 SS where it prevents me from shifting into fifth gear when I get on it hard. Dealership looked at it and replaced a bunch of parts and it's still doing it.

Let's see what fiat is up to. From what it seems they have addressed a lot of the issues they were having.

No need to get butt hurt about sales. He referenced sales in regards to HP numbers and the correlation isn't there in this case.

Tremec makes the TR-6060 used in your car AFAIK. Your car has the strongest trans design on the market, and is overrated for the SS LS3 engine torque.

It's used in CTS-V (556HP), GT500 (662HP), Viper (640HP), ZR1 (638HP), ZL1 (580HP), Challenger Hellcat (707HP), etc.

Sooo... if you looking at Dodge, Ford, or even Aston Martin to relieve your trans issues, good luck.

Sorry but that's a pretty lame example of bad build quality.

Butt hurt is such an over used expression it's become practically meaningless on the internet.

It's like hearing people tell their 4th best friends cousins gardener 'Love you" when they post on each others facebook account.

What does a manufacturers safety recall that is proactive in nature have to do with the number of problems an owner encounters during the first three years of ownership? Dependability is measured in a reactive fashion. Something fails, you take it in to get fixed. A recall occurs proactively, before failure. Perhaps if Dodge was more proactive in recalls, there wouldn't be so many failures in the first three years of ownership.

Chrysler recalled another 800k vehicles for the same thing yesterday. http://time.com/3020465/ignition-swi...ysler-recalls/

It has nothing to do with a significant safety problem. It has everything to do with our messed up legal system.

Expect all brands to defend themselves.
