Red face Small and big issues for 2015 SS 1LE

My Camaro has relatively low mileage at 23k but has shown some wear I wouldn’t have expected. Re: the steering wheel and shifter knob have both shown a matting down of the cloth that came on those parts-can they be rejuvenated? Also currently in the process of replacing the drive line as the current one has shown fatigue and is not serviceable. To be fair the engine has had ungraded heads, cam and air box to increase rear wheel hp to 420. I’m looking for input from anybody who might have dealt with similar issues.

Do a little research but the steering wheel and shift knob will come back to life with a warm damp microfiber cloth and mild dish soap. Rub gently and then move to a clean spot on the cloth, you'll be amazed at how dirty it is.

What kind of driveline fatigue? What wore out?

I have a little over 33k on mine with many track and autocross days on it. I'm about the same RWL HP too with my mods. I'm shocked I haven't had wear issues with wheel hubs or suspension items.

Curious what failed for you. Do you drag race on prepped surfaces a lot?

With 420 at the wheels I doubt it has upgraded heads and cam. Also, your post is extremely vague and doesn’t explain at all about your driveline issues.

While I haven't tried larry-g's method, I use Sonax Alcantara & Upholstery Cleaner a few times a year and it does a great job at keeping the Alcantara looking new.

I went to autozone and bought some microfiber cleaner. May be griots. Works very well. Get the foam 3000 grit to get rid of the nap and use cleaner watered down. Will look brand new.

I have between 500 and 600 full-send autoX launches, a number of track days and track sprints, and it's been a daily driver for 7 years that now has 70K miles on it.

Other than rear wheel bearings, the car is fine including still being on original clutch and the clutch is still in great shape. What is wrong with yours?

Smile Big & Small issues. Thanks

Been a little out of pocket…thank you for the replies. The driveline issue was real as it was replaced with a billet aluminum shaft….the OEM was shown as unserviceable. IPS formally of Lewis Center, OH did the Chevy performance heads and 427 Cam…I have the OEM heads and cam on a shelf.
