From what I understand, once your car has been actually (physically) loaded onto a train. You can have your dealer call the DBC (Dealer Business Center) to inquire where your car is and, once it's loaded, what the actual railcar number is for the train/car your car has been loaded onto... at that point, you're a candidate from some tracking. Not before.

Hope this helps.

After your vehicle is unloaded off the train at it's final distribution center, your dealer can call the Dealer Business Center and have them mark the car as "hot". Once the car is marked "hot", it will be at the dealer within 48 hours (I believe).

Found it! My dealer called CSX again this morning (05-07) and the rail car was located. It was handed over from CNR to CSX in Detroit at 1:30am (05-07). Things are starting to chug along, .....I hope.

I hope that's just a glitch and not permanent.

Thats a half truth. Yes, once it is bayed at the final distribution center it can be marked hot. No, that does not in any way carry a 48 hr time frame. Also, there's no point in doing it for Camaros as the carriers know they're sold orders and they're already considered hot.

Not temporary. Permanent due to the amount of traffic to the UPRR site due to y'all posting the info here, including showing people how to get rail head phone numbers. They no longer desire to receive hundreds of phone calls a day.

if you know the railcar number that your car is on and you know its on the UPRR system, let me know and I'll look it up in our system at work... the best way to get this information to me is in a PM... since I dont work every day, it might take a day or two for me to get the information, but I will get back to you.
