best route to keep IAT2 temps down

i have an automatic 2013 zl1 that i plan on taking to open track days and its pretty hot where i live most of the year. my car is making upwards of 650whp but the heat soak is so bad its killing itself with IAT2 temps after one pull. just curious on other people's experience tracking their boosted cars whether it would be more cost effective to swap to a twin turbo/centrifugal supercharger setup, or get additional heat exchangers, higher flow water pumps, coolant expansion tanks and a different lid/interchiller setup.

for reference i already have e-85 kit, 1/2" thick thermal insulating plates, 160* thermostat, afco heat exchanger, and a c&r reinforced intercooling brick

Have you ever thought about using meth injection? I have read on here where some guys are using it with good results. I ran it on my non intercooled V6 SC Mustang running an Eaton M112 with 10.5lbs boost. It would cool it down quite a bit. Just a thought. I ran a Snow kit..

i have thought about it but i would need to do more research on meth kits and how long they exactly last for, any additional wear and thing of that nature. im also curious if anyone has run harrops supercharger lid for the 1900 and noticed considerable IAT2 temp drops because they claim the intercooling brick on their model is 2.5* larger that the oem lid with the zl1 as well as having improved airflow. and im not opposed to swapping lids but the kong one is almost/more expensive than an interchiller kit and i havent seen people very happy with their purchase.

what do you mean by snow kit? and did you drag race or do track days?

before i was interchiller, i had the afco with fans and a bigger coolant expansion tank. the aits would be about 13-15 degree above ambient. now i have a chiller better flowing coolant pump, no heat exchanger. now the car lives in 30's ait2. chiller is only good for drag racing or street use. not for road coarse racing. i also use meth with 5 jets. 4 in the lid and 1 in the intake. prometh kit.
You can do a ice tank in the trunk, 2-gallon expansion tank, add the afco fans to the exchanger.

Here...I used it for drag racing, and on the street only..

You have the wrong car for track work, an auto with a pullied LSA.

If you're a novice the car might be ok, past that I would buy a Bug Gulp or similar scoop to try and get some outside air to the filter.

I would wait until it cools off to help your cause, I never did track work in summer. Too much money to suffer in the heat.

The car will pull power to protect itself, you won't need that power on a road course because road course work is about corner speed and momentum.

I dont know if you meant a big gulp intake but if so i already have that on the car, but yes a manual would proboably work better as well as some porting to get boost pressures down or a bigger blower. Any other suggestions you think could work besides high flow water pumps and expansion tanks + additional heat exchangers?

I get you with the heat though its hard in louisiana its essentially 90* all day everyday until october

Yes i was already planning on one or 2 expansion tanks as well as upgrading to a higher flow water pump as well as maybe some additional ones just to keep everything moving. Also the heat exchanger does already have fans on it. Also dang i thought the interchiller might be useful for road course/track because even if its not sitting i imagine it would still have the benefit of javing that cold air flowing over the coolant

I have many many laps at NOLA if that's were you're running. I'd wait till winter to run the car, I did.

sorry for late response, life got little busy and i wasnt able to focus on the car much. was curious on what you have done and besides running it in the colder months any coolingupgrades you have? i plan on swapping the lid for a harrop one since the intercooling brick is around 2.2* the size of the oem one, one 2 gal expansion tank + 2 additional heat exchangers and upgrading the oem waterpump+ an additional pump. currently trying to figure out which coolant pump upgrades are actually worth spending money on though
