If I had to chose between the two, I'd go with the C6; but it depends on how and where you're going to be driving it.

C6 Pros: Handles/performs better, especially in the curves/mountain roads; better gas mileage (mine has averaged 26 mpg over 10 years/90K+ miles); more aerodynamic; hold their value better then the Camaro (if that's important to you).

C6 Cons: Maintenance and repairs are more expensive.

Newer SS Pros: It's newer; is a great 'muscle' car; has a 'back seat', if you need one; lower maintenance/repair costs.

Newer SS Cons: See pros of owning a Vette (lol)

In regards to insurance: Have the same coverage on both my '06 Vette & '13 SS, insurance on the Vette is about 1/3 less then I pay for the SS.

IMO it comes down to personal choice of which you desire more and fits you better. They are two different vehicles and I get a big smile on my face everytime I fire either one up.

Good Luck in your decision, you can't go wrong either way (IMO)

I'd listen to him. He speaks from experience.

Good choice. You'll be able to get that clean to the window shield under that Tahoe the next time.
