580hp vs 707hp = 707hp makes more hp....got it.
Not sure what the comparison in the MT article all about? I do agree with the OP that the M6 in that dyno run does seems to be underpowered for some reason. Most M6 ZL1's seem to dyno right at 500rwhp....

M6 ZL1's usually dyno right around 495rwhp. As usual some dyno's read high, some don't.

I would not use that article as a reference. I've seen dyno results range from 460 to about 503 whp for stock ZL's, with the autos on the low end of the range, and the manuals at the upper end.
Some dynos, like the Mustang dyno, are more parasitic towards hp results; On Mustang dynos its common to get a lower hp result than on a Dynojet.
