Borla catback drone?

I have a 2010 L99 with the AFM (DOD) tuned out. I'm not much of a fan of the Corsa sound, but love the Borla sound. I know Corsa is supposed to be better with regards to drone. How much drone could I expect (slight note possibly required bumping the radio up slightly, earplugs after 20 minutes, no conversations, seizures, etc.)?

I have replaced my factory cats with turbos, so my situation is unique, but let's assume they have no effect on the exhaust compared to the cats... I'm factory manifolds and currently stock catback (turbo-back) besides that.

Thanks,

MP

I have not had really any complaints about the S-type droning. The Turbos should keep it fairly under control. Another interesting option would be the Kooks Street Sleeper catback. I have never had complaints of it droning, and it is is a little deeper than Borla.

Thanks. That sounds nice. Hard to tell with videos as all are recorded differently. I wouldn't have thought that was deeper than the Borla just from the video, so that's good to know.

I am definitely looking for the deep sound, but not overwhelming. Kinda like the flowmaster mustangs from the early 90s.

Depends...some people have said the drone is bad, some, like myself, don't really have a problem with it. With stock exhaust and just the catback, it won't be bad at all. I would say it will be at the "slightly turn up the radio" level. Of course I'm one of those crazy folks that likes to hear the exhaust noise
