I picked up a INNOVA OBD2 Tool Saturday from Auto Zone, for $60.00. Looked at Amazon and read a lot of the reviews, I really do not go by reviews but this time it was 50 -50 for pro and con. Besides most of if not all were coming out of China. I talked to the Auto Zone rep and he said that the one I bought has a 2 year warranty and an extra year with my credit card that I used. Hopefully I will not need it again and it just looks pretty in my tool box. lol

It does suck to see a CEL light on the dash, and a code to read. However, sometimes those are just one- time glitches, so you may not see the CEL/ code again.
Glad you got the OBD reader. I second the statement that it's a GREAT thing to have. I carry mine in the car at all times, and it's even given me hero status among family, friends, and co- workers (since many shops now charge $100 to read/ clear a code, something that I can do in 60 seconds at no cost). |
