Amber DRL bulbs?

Is it legal to put amber color bulbs in the DRL's?

sure don't see why not. Amber is allowed on the front of the vehicle.

I don't think it's illegal. My '01 Camaro had amber/yellow DRL's....And you see plenty of other vehicles around with amber DRL's....I PMed the guys at AAC to see if there is a way to route the DRL power source to the existing front blinkers and still have them function as blinkers (like the '01 Camaro)...Waiting to hear back from them.

Its possible. That's how I did my car. But I am using the power for my halos. So my drl is the halo. My parking lights are only turn signals. They dont light up at all otherwise. And no factory wiring cut either

Yea, this is what I'm wanting but instead of halos I want it to be the front ambers....I think it's a bit more complicated because when I hit the turn signal, it has to have the capability of intercepting the power from the DRL power source. Otherwise my turn signals wouldn't function properly, they would just stay on all the time....

Seeing that you have an RS, the DRLs should be just a simple bulb switch.

I changed mine to amber in my Avalanche as it was a sure way to spot the Avalanche club I belonged to.

Perfectly legal.

I was searching for amber bulbs, and read about that Avalanche club! Clever.
Sylvania makes the stock bulbs I believe, I'm hoping they have an equivalent that is amber or blue (blue might look cool too).

Not if you use the dim amber for DRL and the bright side for turn signal.

Do you think this is it? They are calling them "fog lights", but I guess that would be what you call them if you didn't know they are DRL's.

They look promising...

I think they yellow may be "too" light though. Not really amber.

Maybe the blue ones would work.
