Will 9 lb's Melt highflow's honeycomb's?

Anyone running over 600 to the wheels with HF cats?

I have around 700 and after about 6 months I noticed it starting to melt.

For the moment I just gutted my cats, but I'm about to change them for straight midpipes.

I thougjt about gutting them but i dont wanna waste a perfectly good extra set of HF's incase i ever need them..

Doesn't Cali enforce the sniff test among other emission testing? I gutted mine just to past the visual check.

Yes the cat's will melt. Mine melted with less than 600rwhp.

CA isn't using the sniffer on newer cars any more but their is a huge difference with and without cats in the smell. I had a local muffler shop make cat-less mid pipes for my system for $75.
