2012 V6 Auto Transmission Shudder Question
Well I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones who will have to pay for this out of pocket. Warranty expired last year due to time not mileage. Anyone have any idea what this is going to cost? Do you think there is any chance of negotiating with the dealer since there is a TSB out and it's a known issue?

Sorry, It's been a long time since I've been on here. Been busy looking for an aftermarket option for the converter because I too have the same issue with warranty being expired. I love the car but hate the shutter. it doesn't do it all the time just in certain situations. But the last dealer quote i got was over 2g's. 900 for the converter and 12-1300 in labor.

In the mean time I have been adding a tube of a product called Instant shudder fix every year or so until I can save up the coin to get it replaced. I know its not a cure but it does reduce it quite a bit. And by the time I've got the coin the trans made need to be replaced anyway. The main question I have been asking though is "Will there have to be any reprogramming if I replace the converter myself?" Dealer wont give a straight answer.
