A friends car went from 2030 to 0000 this morning. he called dealer, they said they have no clue why it was cancelled. the order is still in the system so they cant resubmit it either (or something like that)

any idea why it would get kicked back?

Forgive him (dealer) o Lord for he knows not what he does. Go to another dealer is my reccomendation.

im not sure it is the dealer,he has bought 2 trucks, a camaro and a nox from them in the past 7 years. and all has been perfect.

could GM automatically kick the order after siting at 2030 for 90 days?

There could be many reasons for the cancellation. A good dealer would resolve the situation and ensure the individual would have a ZL1 order in the system again. BTW - a dealer can always find out exactly why an order went to 0000.

the dealer told him that he will still have the car to go to watkins glen for a HPDE event. so i guess we gotta see what happens

All I can say is hopefully that is a glitch. If not that must mean the dealer didn't have allocation and GM is dropping it or GM isn't going to be able to make as many as they thought they were going to be able to since they have halted production.

I thought 9000 was a canceled order.

I had this happen to me on GM Connects early after my order was submitted. I imediately called my dealer and he assured me that his data showed my order at 1100. The next time I checked it on GM Connects, it was back to 1100. (Sadly, I'm still at 2050.)

But I would have your dealer verify your order status. More than likely, it's a glitch with GM Connects.

When I cancelled my order at 1 dealership, it said 0000

I have a feeling that unless they get whatever issue there is resolved, there will be a lot of cancelled 2012 orders. Hopefully yours wasn't one of them but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

This order was also not put in as a retail sold order. It was put in as a retail stock order. I think that those are the ones that will be cancelled first so that they can get the sold orders taken care of.

That would be very bad business if GM just started cancelling orders without any sort of memo or formal announcement. I would be disgusted if my order was cancelled by GM, I called my Dealer and they had no idea about it. IF this is the case, GM needs to get things in order, an emphasis on "IF".

It very well could be a glitch. I know that there were a lot of people who had their orders go backwards early in the production process. I know I was one of them. Hopefully that's all that is going on and you will get your car.
