OP that's a great post.. there will always be somebody with more horsepower no matter what you build. not sure I agree with the recommendations to add a cam to a car with nearly a hundred thousand miles on it. if you're happy with 500 rear wheel horsepower I say enjoy that car with your son and call it good.

I didn’t really post this about hp or mileage. It Really was a thank you to Steve at RDP for taking the time to show my son a few things. My sons still talking about the Dyno tune to all of his buddies.

There will always be the guy that says somethings wrong you should be making more power. Or It’s so easy to make that much power. There’s also always going to be someone with more power than you. Or someone who thinks they know how to do it better.

I’m very happy with the car. The Tune I got is great. More importantly my son is super excited about the car. That’s how you make the next generation of car guys. This car was all about my son, and he has a few more ideas he wants to do to it yet. He’s always reading about the next thing we need.

Which means Steve at RDP has a few more things to sale me yet!

Tune

Edelbrock will not warranty a supercharger unless they approve the tune. Did you get it approved?

I agree that if you are happy go enjoy it with your son, I hope I didn’t sound like a dirt bag because I was just saying that you can drive anywhere without breaking the bank with a cammed car that’s tuned correctly. The memories that you create with your son and that car will be better than any amount of horsepower that you can buy.

Nope Fred everything you said was cool. It sounds like you have a great canned car. You’ve got the best of both worlds.

congrats OP on the car but mostly the experience with the kid. some of my fondest memories I have of my dad were on road trips!

It's amazing how much more fun these cars are when they get a little more power ain't it.

508/rwhp is a good number without LT headers.
