This is the reason most people that get clear bra film applied choose to cover the front facia, the mirrors, and the gills.
They are the areas most prone to stone chips.
It's not cheap, but it's well worth it in my opinion.

you can't use the EPA excuse for the paint quality because the car is painted in canada. EPA has no jurisdiction in other countries.

No you can't. Actually the GFX should do the job and protect the gills area.

My Summit White has no paint chips either being a year old and having 5,200 miles! I've only waxed it once and drive it hard and still no chips! Maybe the white repels rocks?

Actually.... Canada has their own EPA which follows very closely with the US EPA as far as standards go. In fact if you read down through this article it has incorporated some of Californias requirements when it comes to VOCs... and even goes as far as to restrict imported products that go over the VOC limit. I am positive the United States has the same regualtions since Canada has pretty much based theirs off of ours.

Not fun reading but it makes my point that the EPA has caused much of this mess... not evil, greedy corporations that are trying to cut corners.

Just finished clay barring and waxing my Camaro. I could not believe the amount of paint chips in it, and I just picked it up last Saturday from the dealer. I'll be looking into a custom paint job as soon as it gets too much to handle.

Try using Plasti-dip on all the areas that are susceptible to paint chips. I put this stuff on the gill area and it works great!

Probably because of the physical characteristics of the Camaro front end. That said, I have far more chips in my headlight covers than chips in the paint. My very aerodynamic Honda Fit, has no chips anywhere, even though I rotate the cars, same roads, same speeds, same driving techniques. Go figure.

I have had my '11 SS since May, I have 5400 miles on her. I took a 2100 mile round trip with it in June and received 2 stone chips on the hood. It stayed that way till today, when I took a 160 mile round trip....and received 3 more chips on the front end!! They are all minor but .....jeez! So, OP...I feel your pain!
