4 Pack gauge cluster modification

does anyone know if its possible to make the 4 gauges light up red if one of the gauges reads low or something gets too hot? kinda like the nascar gauges? or atleast know anyone who could do something like that?

It can be done but will only cast $100M for the first one then it will be $479, JK you will need to find a way to get the BCM to tell the 4 pack to turn on a light, there is no way to do that with out rewriting all the info on the GMlan and then redesign the board for the 4 pack, so i may not be off to much on the $100M

Holy crap! Well atleast it was a good idea! But on side note to make the gauges work in a car without them I need the harness correct? Or do the cars with the gauges have a harness with them?

Uh, or you could use something like an Arduino that monitors the signals going to the gauges and has outputs to LEDS that are triggered when a signal goes out of the range you set. Total cost would be under 50 bucks. But I'd be happy to make a bunch and sell them for $479 haha.

Basically you add a chip that would plug into the gauge inputs and some red leds, some magic happens and for under 50 bucks you have what you were asking for.

im thinkin it wouldnt be too hard. worst case is add some senders that trigger the led's
