Paint or Not to Paint. .?? CGM - GND FX - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Just picked up the Gnd FX package for my ride and I am not sure if I should paint these or not.

If any color but CGM I would say no, but I am worried that the color will not be different enough to set them off nor is is close enough to the CGM color.

Don't want people to think that I got them painted and couldn't match the color.

Does anyone have a picture of the FX on a CGM NOT PAINTED??

paint em. to me it looks totally unfinished if they're not. reminds me of the honda preludes around town. I don't really understand why they're not factory color matched to begin with.

I saw a white Camaro at the car show this weekend and he had his painted gloss black. It looked nice.

i can only give you my opinion.
if i were to put them on my car,i would definitely paint them.when they are not painted,they look like a bolt on item.when they are painted,they look like part of the car.

Looks weird IMO upainted. Definitely paint them, can't figure out why some people don't

the ones in the image are painted, or I lost my color eye. They look best painted to match on your CGM color. To do a proper job you will have to take them off and that is a pain as you have to re-tape them with 3M bonding tape. If you can do t yourself a body shop can paint them, but understand they may not match 100% as the plastic parts take the color a tad different then the metal panels. They should be very close to your bumpers. In the SF Bay Area thats about a $1200-1500 job if you want quality. FYI. & good luck.
