/subscribing.

with my 1le i have a concern of pulling into a spot and nailing a curb or something. and while backing up is a viable solution, since i dont have a front plate wouldnt want to give the local cops a reason to ticket me.

looking to adding a camara to the front of the car. would love to be able to use the mylink camara.. but thinking of using the smallest lcd and sticking it to the sun visor. maybe.

I noticed you haven't updated the thread for awhile - could you post the exact parts used (name, part number etc). Also, is there a way to toggle the feed (from front to side etc).

Thanks!

For those who have a built in My Link display and want a front camera displaying in this display, I plan to do a DIY when the weather warms up. I started working on it last winter and have all the parts and everything tested.the way I plan to do this is the switch the video line as it goes through the trunk. Connect a wire to the reverse switch on the transmission and send it to the same remote switch for the video, I use a wireless rf switch double pole/double through, one for video and one to put a ground on the ecm to simulate going into reverse which changes the display from radio or whatever to camera, at the same time it applies the video from the front camera, already tested all that. Also tested, since I would have to send a wire from the front camera all the way to the back of the trunk I went with a remote camera, transmitter close to the camera and receiver close to the switch in the trunk works real good. the only thing I haven't figured is how to send the wire from the transmission switch to the trunk, do that in the spring. when I tested it simply got a wire from the transmission to the inside of the car and grounded the end. I have all the part # and price all from e-bay, china, cheap .
