I recently ran over 136 mph at St Louis (Gateway Motorsports Park)
Time for some new slicks, car just won't hook after the LS Fest

Great run Greg!! I don't know if you're having the same issue I am or not, because I know slicks will hook better than my factory tires no matter what the track prep is, but both times I've ran at Bowling Green, my car has hooked pretty good. It won't do that at my local track. London preps, but it's just not the same as BG. With my car, we're talking about consistently .1 better 60s at BG than London.

My car has always hooked no matter what prep was done. Its just a matter of too many runs on the old slicks. I'll know in a couple weeks when I go back to St louis for super chevy. I broke them in yesterday with a little play on the street. I think my 60's will be back in the mid 1.40s and the temps should be around 70 for a high.

So you've already got new shoes. Hope that hooks you up again. I need to get a drag set for mine. I really want to put it in the 10s on the factory wheels and tires, and I'm really confident it can be done, but I also want to know what it can do on drag radials alone, and that's probably how I'll run it for a while so I don't have to worry about any warranty issues.

I think this will put me in the middle of the Zl1 box stock with drag radials. DA was 7225.
