Did You Purchase Your Camaro Stock or Modified?

It is difficult to find a solid, used car. Did you purchase your Camaro new/stock or was it already somewhat modded by the PO? If your car was already modified, did you purchase the vehicle to save time and money on your own build? Did you remove some of the aftermarket parts and sell them to offset the purchase price? If you bought your Camaro stock, was it new, or because you wanted a blank canvas to start with?

Ordered it exactly as I wanted. Did not originally plan on a lot of mods until I started hanging out on here and joined a club. Then I started seeing what others have done and I got bitten by the bug as well.

Was looking at new then a friend referred me to the used SS. Bought the used SS stock but got so much more, it was a limited production so not many mods will be on this beauty lol.

I bought mine used because in 2010 I couldn't afford one and I wanted an aqua blue one. Unfortunately it was already slightly modified. I plan on changing out all of the mods (shorty headers, cat back, and cold air intake). I have already upgraded the cold air intake to a roto fab and plan on lt headers with high flow cats and a drone free cat back exhaust.

I bought my 2010 about one year ago, it had a Flowmaster American thunder catback and K&N Typhoon already installed.

The flowmaster is gone now in favor of a stock catback since the american thunder was just a bit too loud with the headers.

I wasn't shopping for a modded car, but it was a little bonus that the dealer wasn't trying to get extra money for the car and I got a free CAI and exhaust.

I already had a stock pile of aftermarket bolt-ons before my dealership called me in to pick up my new 2010.

used.

pretty heavily modded, but paid right at a very fair market value for a non-modded car (bought 2011 veh in March this year)

Had a few small issues that actually just got fixed today.

Is it worth it? Well, yes and no.

Pros: I've got a fully built motor that is ready to do whatever I ask of it. Didn't have to pay for it. Headers, intake, exhaust, etc...all that shit already done. I just want new wheels.

Cons: Had an oil leak..got that fixed today- oil pan gasket. Was it cheap? Not particularly. Also, while I love the mods, I would have liked to done 'what I wanted'...not that this is a huge issue, but it kind of takes some of the fun out of it for a guy like me who likes to tinker and create my own projects.

That's about it. While I would have enjoyed some input in the mods, I am more than happy with what I have, and it has exceeded my expectations many times over. The great bonus is that I got all these mods effectively free, so if I decide to go another route with any of this, it doesn't hurt so bad knowing that I didn't really pay for it in the first place.

Got mine certified used from a local Chevrolet Dealership completely stock except for rear window tint with 50k miles from one owner. Now it's modded to my taste!
