Whats it worth
Looking to sell my 2010 2ss Camaro. I bought it new. Every option minus sunroof/ground effects. Have all paperwork/etc. laminated. Orange / white stripes / orange interior. Has about 5k miles. Only mods are chrome gills from gm, and I painted backsides of rims flat black. Absolutely like new and has been kept in climate controlled environment. Have changed oil / filter 8 times with synthetic. Any input appreciated. Looking to sell, but need help on a good / quick, fair sale price. Thanks in advance.

Kelly Blue Book value for your zip code is $17,344 when selling to a private party.

My guess would be $20k- $22k. Your mileage is everything. The main thing keeping it that low is that the price of newer 5th gens, ZL1s, and even Z28s are getting very reasonable. Also, 2010 is missing a bit of features that the later cars have. But your car is practically brand new and has full documentation.
I am probably way off here though (high side). Just do yourself a favor and do NOT trade it in.

I was thinking 20k would be a good deal. I ordered it the day you could in 2009. It was 39k new. Ouch.

OP ignore the KBB value. It does not have an accurate way to price cars kept in mint condition with that extremely low miles, there is no button you can hit in KBB for "show car". I agree with the 20k price starting point. You may have to wait a bit longer for that buyer that wants to step back in time and buy a new 2010 in 2020, but they are out there.
beautiful car BTW.

Here is a 2010 1SS with low miles in excellent condition near you for sale......I'd keep an eye on it and see what it sells for. You should be able to get around $1000-$1500 more since yours is a 2SS and has less mileage.
Cars depreciate....even when cared for and rarely driven. It won't start increasing in value until it's 25 years old. Don't feel bad, some cars lose 60% of their value in 4 years. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=255883990

Dave, I wouldn't compare your 1 owner 2ss with 5K miles to a 3 owner 1ss with 25k miles. A lot people will say all that matters is price, and that may be true for most buyers, but not all. There are some that will appreciate a garage kept, well maintained 1 owner car. Good luck.

A very true statement. That’s exactly what happened when I found my car, last spring. Went from a ‘10 RJT LT2 to a... ‘10 RY 2SS M6. What can I say... I like the ‘10.

But I have a question. What’s the purpose of purchasing a 25-30k$ car and driving it less than 50 miles a month the. Selling it in 10 years? Just curious, not being a dick. It’s a concept I’ve never understood. If I haven’t driven mine in a day or 2, I’ll start it up and run it around the neighborhood lol just to be in it.
