WOW Gas Millage!

This past week the family and I drove to Las Vegas from the Antelope Valley CA. On the way there we got 27.8 MPG. I am impressed. On the way home from Vegas with all of the other California people we only got 22.5 MPG. It was alot slower pace around 40-60MPH. What kinda of gas millage have you guys got?

From Albany Ga to Ona Fl (HWY 75), 75 MPH averaged 26.5MPG going and comming back. AS far as I'm concerned that pretty good.
Vararam intake
Throttle Body
Trifectia Tune.

Eh depends...I've gotten up to like 27-28 before driving like grandpa.

I did mostly city driving last week with one trip to work and I averaged about 18.

You said all city driving. City driving is a lot worse than highway. If you've got an L99 especially it'll drop down to 4 cylinders which does tend to help.

It's not what you drive, its how you drive it (as proven by Top gear with the M3 that got better mileage than the Prius on a track begin driven at exactly the same speeds).

If you have your foot to the floor all the time, you'll get in the low teens. If you set the cruise at 70 on the highway, an SS can get upper 20s, with the Ford 5.0s good for 30.

Other factors are also important. Winter blend fuels and cold temperatures drastically reduce mileage. Ethanol in the fuel makes about a 2 mpg difference as well.

Stock I got 20-22 on average.

After tune to turn off AFM and with a good trans and engine tune, I was getting 21-23.

That was the best I ever got and that was with AFM system turned OFF!!!

Now, running around 18-19 all around driving plenty acceptable for what she is putting to the ground.
