Need some help....LS3 Solo cats on L99?
Need some quick help, I am thinking of buying some used LS3 Solo H/F cats for my L99. Anyone know if there will be any fit problems? I know Solo sales one for the L99 that has the Mesh flex pipe for the added vibration of the L99. My thought is they will still work, any thoughts???

everything looks the same just before the hpipe, don't see why not...you can always weld it in if it ends up not fitting properly

They should fit, but supposedly without the flex pipe there will be more vibration in the exhaust.

Try sending a PM to GOINGSOLO2, he may know for sure! Here's a couple pics from their website. I would think the manifold flange and exhaust end must be exactly the same because they're made to mate up with the stock system.

That’s what I'm thinking and I Know a lot of L99 members that have JBA's mid-pipe which looks similar to Solo’s LS3 version. My main concern is maybe the O2 sensors are rotated a little and they hit the auto trans.

Looks to me like the O2 sensors are in the same place between the 2 types so I don't think that will be a problem!

I'm sure if it was fine SOLO would only make the LS3 version since the L99 is more expensive. More expensive means eliminating some potential buyers.

Ok, time to put this to rest. After several emails with Steve @ Solo I am convinced that I will have problems. Even if I get them to fit the added vibrations of the L99's will cause issues overtime without the flex pipe. Ordered new L99 H/F cats from Solo……..

nothin for nothin but, what vibrations are diff between the ls3 and l99?? i would think maybe the cat design (ie) ceramic vrs metalic, would be taken in consideration. ? unsure why the 2 motors would,nt be the same application for a converter.

It's not the cats themselves but the entire mid pipes that the cats are a part of.
