About $400 for a Tune (just understand the warranty issues by doing this) and headers with off road pipes can be bought for around $500. Look at Texas Speed or OBX. If you can scrape a little more money you could do Stainless Works or maybe even some KOOKS.

That's the basics. Do a search and you'll find a thread about the steps. Cost is basically $400. Just make sure you read, understand, and accept how a tune might affect/void your powertrain warranty.

Headers and a tune will help your car make more power but it will also void your drive train warranty. Probably not what you want for a brand new 2012.
What you should do next depends on how you use your car. Daily driver or weekend toy? Do you drive only on the street or do you ever hit the track? Drag strip or autoX? Etc., etc.. One of the most effective ways to up the "fun factor" is with a suspension upgrade. Something like a Pfadt Stage 2 would transform your driving experience and be well within your budget. |

I'd recommend the suspension upgrade Chase mentioned. A lot of people upgrade hp first. That's ok, but I think upgrading the suspension is better in your price range and it won't void your power train warranty.
Drop springs and sway bars make your car handle better on the twisties and make it look better too! Win win. |

Suspension work is going to depend on how you drive your car and where you drive it.
I put on swaybars because I occassionally Auto-X the car but other than that there are very few curves and twists in my area and I intentionally put that mod off because I didn't really need it in my area. Still don't other than the Auto-X. Springs will help make your car look alot better though. If you live in a area with a bunch of hills and curves then I would vote to look into Swaybars and Springs. If not, headers definately wakes up the car and makes it sound much better as well. Just my two cents......

Actually, even with the stock tune back in your car and the SCT unlocked it's still a borderline price. Ted will charge you $100 to do the tune if you don't buy the tuner from him. Then you have $350 into a tuner or $400 for everything brand new from him. Still $50 is $50 I guess.
