Question Ground effects to close to ground on some Camaros?

Hey guys!, i recently just got new 22" rims, now ive been consdering doing the lowering springs, i know it would look better, but im also considering getting the razzi ground effects, now since ive upgraded rims, ive went up another 2 inches higher, if i added the ground effects it would take away from how high up i look, but it may be safer so i dont rub, this is not just a "Show car" but i do love to "Show it" so i do want it to have less damage as possible...

My question is, Has anyone ever considered putting "Lexan" under their ground effect? so if it does rub, it just rubs the lexan? and you can replace it whenever? I thought this might be a neat concept for some to use, it adds alittle thickness, but the stuff is dang nice for protection...
Stuff is dang near unbreakable as well.

What are your guys Thoughts on ground effects vs lowering springs?

Having driven a slammed car before with a ground effects/body kit I would say "Lexan" isn't going to do much.

When you drive a car with those mods it really comes down to being really careful and aware of what your going over.

Also I just feel like lowering springs and 22s is a bad idea. I'd get coils personally. You probably should have just went with 20s with body kit and then you could do springs.

I have 22s and lowering springs (eibach 1") and the stance is perfect. You just have to be careful going up and down driveways.

I got the Razzi V8 kit on mine, but with 20"s from the factory. If the height stays the same (22" with a 1-2" lower kit) you may be in good shape. My Razzi does not curb like my stock '06 CSRT8 front end does. That Hemi chin spoiler front end will drag on anything. But the Razzi mounts pretty square to the original front end, and seems to keep enough height to clear my upward sloped drive way. Haven't went over them, but would avoid speed bumps all the same.

How did you raise your car 2 inches higher? Do your tires not have less sidewall on them??
